Lobethal is hosting a 'Start' for the 2012 Santos Tour Down Under - and the bikes are coming thorough the town twice!
Schedule:
0600 Road closure in place and setup of event infrastructure
0830 Track Ready - available for Community events, Kids Activities
0920 Community event Kids activities concludes
0930 Tour Parade Arrives
1000 World Tour Riders/Team Cars Arrive
1000 Sign on commences
1030 Tour Parade depart under Police escort
1100 World Tour Race Start
1125 Tour Parade pass through
1155 World Tour Rider pass through
1210 After Greenlight vehicle, dismantle of event infrastructure.
What else is happening?
- Mill Square
Visit the 'village square' of Lobethal for a relaxed family friendly zone - a bouncy castle, face painter, strawberries and champagne by Tilbrook Wines and music by local duo, Western Branch.
Silvio Apponyi, artistic director of the Adelaide Hills International Sculpture Symposium, will be demonstrating sculpting of stone at the site where we hope the symposium sculpture commissioned by the LCA for Lobethal will stand at Mill Corner.
- Main Street
Drop into Centennial Hall and have a look at interesting stalls.
There will be food and drinks available from all Main Street venues. Community groups will also offer fresh fruit and fruit kebabs, yogurts, wraps, BBQ items and cold drinks.
