'Local People / Local Projects / Local Pride'

" Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has" . Margaret Mead
The Lobethal Community Asociation is composed of individuals who have an interest in the welfare of the township.
Why do people get involved?
These are some comments made by current members about why they are involved in the LCA ...
-
" If you want to keep across everything, you need to be involved, to know what's going on in the town ..."
-
"When I first got involved, I was new to the town. Its a way of learning about the town and its people".
- "How do you voice your frustration (about things not getting done) unless you have a group to do it?"
-
"I know inside my heart what could be done - but the local community doesn't get involved. This is where I hang my hat and put my feet up - so I got involved!"
We hold regular meetings to discuss issues, plan projects and provide volunteer opportunities.
Meetings are held Bi - monthly in the meeting room behind the Centennial Hall and may be attended by any member of the community. Feel free to come along to learn more about the association and its activities. See Events Section for meeting dates and proposed agenda items.
The association also has an Executive Committee which meets on alternate months to co ordinate the activities of the association.
