 Lobethal Happenings in May...

"I saw the angel in the marble and I carved until I set him free' Michelangelo

Korean sculptor, Hwang Seoung-Woo saw the drapes and folds of woollen blankets when he crafted a sculpture for Lobethal during the recent Adelaide Hills International Sculpture Symposium. Hwang's hard work & attention to detail was recognised when he received the the 'People's Choice' Award.

The sculpture will be installed in Mill Square  sometime in the next couple of  months! Thankyou Hwang for creating such a beautiful piece!!

About Lobethal

It's the kind of place where people still make eye contact and smile when they pass you in the street.

Lobethal is a small community of 1600 people located approximately 35km from Adelaide in the picturesque Adelaide Hills. The town is well known for its Christmas Lights Festival and the Lobethal Grand Carnival. However Lobethal has much to offer through out the year in addition to these two outstanding events.
